From November 9th to 11th, the 2016 National Vocational College "Komatsu Cup" Mechanical Engineering Skills Contest was held in Changzhou. 97 students from 30 vocational collages around the country participated in the competitions of excavator operation and hydraulic pump maintenance.
This contest was co-sponsored by the National Vocational Education and Teaching Steering Committee for Transportation Industry and the Vocational Education Sub-Institute of China Institute of Communications Education, and organized by Changzhou Institute of Transportation Engineering. The evaluation combined the results of theory test and skill assessment.
It is learned that in 2002 Changzhou Institute of Transportation Engineering started to offer the major of engineering machinery, teaching students how to analyze and solve problems with practical skills. So far, the Institute has produced 1,022 engineering personnel for the transportation industry. At the same time, the Institute has signed agreements with Komatsu (China) investment, Liugong Machinery, Changlin Group, Hyundai (Jiangsu) Construction Machinery and some other engineering machinery manufacturers to carry out school-enterprise cooperation.
