On November 18, Ma Qiulin, vice governor of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, came to Changzhou and visited places including the Liyang No.1 Road, the Tangma village of Bieqiao town, Jiangsu Guoxin Liyang Pumped Storage Power Generation Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Huapeng Transformer Co., Ltd.
The 365-kilometer-long Liyang No.1 Road, as one of the first group of provincial scenic routes, has now become another “business card” of Liyang in addition to the Tianmu Lake tourist resort.
Tangma is classified among the first group of provincial characteristic villages. Since 2017, a total of seven villages in Liyang, including Niumatang, Yangjia and Nanshanhou, have been rated as provincial pilot villages with distinctive features.
Guoxin Liyang Pumped Storage Power Generation was put into production in October 2017. It is currently the largest pumped storage hydroelectric plant in the province, with an installed capacity of 1.5 gigawatts.
Ma Qiulin expressed his expectation that Liyang will adhere to the high-quality development path that gives priority to ecological sustainability, in order to set a “Liyang model” for the progress of socialist modernization in the province.
Vice Mayor Yang Fen accompanied Ma during his visit in Changzhou.
