On the morning of December 23th, Fang Guoqiang, Deputy Mayor of Changzhou, met with a delegation headed by HRH Prince Khalid of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the Administration Center of Changzhou.
The delegation was invited to pay a special visit to Changzhou by Lite-On’s Eastern China operation center, a Taiwan-funded enterprise in Changzhou, and discussed with the city’s related authorities about energy conservation policy, and signed a cooperation agreement on LED streetlights.
Fang proposed to carry out exchanges and cooperation at higher levels and in wider areas with the Arab States so as to realize common development.
HRH Prince Khalid expected to promote broader cooperation between the Saudi Arabia and Changzhou, and to work together in projects of the petroleum and new energy industries.
The delegation visited the streetlight projects in Lite-On’s plant and the Taihu Lake Bay Resort in Wujin, and signed a cooperation agreement with Lite-On’s Eastern China operation center, which will help Lite-On extend its market to the Saudi Arabia and the Great Middle East.
HRH Prince Khalid is currently a director of the Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), which is operated by his father, HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal. KHC was founded in 1979, which is comprised of a team of experienced investment specialists in areas of bank, hotel, telecom, science and technology, architecture, real estate, entertainment, high fashion, and so on. In 1993, KHC began to get involved in the media industry, and gradually dominated the media industry. It is in cooperation with some internationally renowned companies like Time Warner, Planet Hollywood, etc.
