On the afternoon of November 6th, Victor Wei-Jong Ying, vice consul of the Consulate General of the United States of America in Shanghai visited Changzhou Institute of Technology to give a lecture on application for a US student visa.
Li Wenhu, president of Changzhou Institute of Technology received Ying and presented an overview of the school's international exchange. Ying was very pleased to know that the school has established cooperative relationships with six US universities such as Purdue University, and he suggested that in future the school should carry out more tuition-free student exchange programs with US universities.
During the visit, Ying also gave a lecture on application for a US student visa, explaining in detail the procedures and precautions of visa application and interview. After the lecture, the participating students asked lots of questions. Ying answered their questions patiently and offered face-to-face consultancy on some specific issues. The students said that Ying’s lecture was a great help to them.
