On May 18, the 9th China (Changzhou) Advanced Manufacturing Technology Achievements Exhibition 2014 was grandly opened in Changzhou Science & Education Town. The participants include representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, and about 100 colleges and research institutes at home and abroad. Yan Li, Party Secretary of Changzhou, delivered a speech. Mayor Fei Gaoyun hosted the opening ceremony.
Currently, Changzhou has much stronger will and need of expanding scientific and technological cooperation than ever, said Yan. He stated that Changzhou will further promote the reform of science and technology system, optimize project management model for closer integration of technology and economy, support enterprises to carry out in-depth scientific and technical cooperation worldwide, and gather innovative talents and technologies to enhance independent innovation capability.
At the opening ceremony, 21 projects were signed between local companies and related colleges or research institutes. Of them, there are 12 UNISPAR programs and nine major investment cooperation projects.
