Recently, Changzhou has carried out special inspection and maintenance on electrical wiring system of some old public housing estates.
This program is mainly related to those old public houses built with brick and wood, which are directly administrated by the Real Estate Management Division of Changzhou. These old public housing estates are located in Nanheyan Street, Xizhi Street, Puqian Street, Dongyanhe Street, etc.
It is learned that a total of 188 households are involved in this program, covering an area of 7296.78 square meters. These old housing estates are all rented out, and most of the residents are the aged. The oldest buildings can be traced back to the period before the establishment of the People’s Republic of China, while the latest ones were originally built in the 1980s. The purpose of this program is to improve public housing management and minimize the risk of electrical accidents.
