On the evening of Sept. 25th, Changzhou hosted the National Day Reception to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Municipal leaders Mr. Lan Li, Mr. Yu Zhiping, Mr. Han Jiuyun, Mr. Cai Jun, Ms. Zhang Yue, and Mr. Zhu Jianwei attended the reception with nearly one hundred guests both at home and abroad.
Mr. Yan Li, secretary of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC, delivered a speech on behalf of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC, the Municipal People’s Congress, the Municipal People’s Government and the Municipal Committee of CPPCC. Yan extended his sincere gratitude to foreign friends, honorary citizens, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, Taiwan compatriots, overseas Chinese and returned Chinese entrepreneurs for their constant support to Changzhou’s economic and social progress as well as science and technology innovation. Yan also expressed greetings to all people living and working in Changzhou.
The guests present at the reception include the representatives of Changzhou honorary citizens, management personnel of foreign-funded enterprises, experts from culture, education, science and technology sectors, visiting delegates from international sister cities, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots, and representatives of overseas Chinese.
