On March 15, it was learned from the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Changzhou that Changzhou’s consumer price index (CPI) in February increased by 1.4% year-on-year, 0.6 percentage points lower than the pace of growth registered in January.
Due to the sufficient market supply in the warm winter, the prices of fresh vegetables fell 1.4%. Affected by the avian flu epidemic, the prices of poultry and egg reduced by 0.7% and 5.8% respectively. After holiday, the prices of travel-related services dropped accordingly; among them, the travel agency fees and air ticket prices were down 6.7% and 4.4% respectively. However, the prices of some consumer goods and services were still rising, such as domestic service, extracurricular education, clothing, etc.
