On May 17th, a Spanish trade delegation composed of eight auto parts enterprises paid a special visit to Jintan Economic Development Zone to seek opportunities for cooperation.
The automotive industry is one of Spain's three pillar industries. The delegation members are suppliers of auto parts for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche and other luxury cars. During their stay in Jintan, the delegates visited the Zotye Automobile Production Base in Jintan and learned about the investment environment of Jintan. Some Spanish entrepreneurs expressed the hope to cooperate with relevant companies in Jintan and Changzhou.
As of April this year, the Jintan Automotive Technology Industrial Park has achieved a total sales income of 3.72 billion yuan, a net increase of about 36 billion yuan over the same period last year. Zotye Automobile is expected to become the first enterprise in Jintan with an annual sales of over ten billion yuan.
As a number of new projects have been launched this year, the automotive industry is expected to become the number one pillar industry of Jintan Economic Development Zone.
