On the morning of August 31st, the investment promotion symposium co-sponsored by InvestHK and Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce was held in Changzhou. Experts from Hong Kong's financial and business sectors introduced to more than 30 enterprises in Changzhou about Hong Kong’s relevant situation, following the theme of "making good use of Hong Kong's financial and tax advantages, and opening up new opportunities of the Belt and Road initiative”.
To encourage more mainland companies to set up treasury center in Hong Kong, the HKSAR Government has recently reduced income tax by 50% for qualified companies, which facilitates Changzhou’s enterprises to set up overseas financial platform in Hong Kong. This year from January to July, Changzhou’s enterprises invested a total of 390 million US dollars in Hong Kong, hitting a record high.
