On July 3rd, Mr. Du Jibin, Director of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, attended the reception hosted by the Consulate General of the United States in Shanghai marking the 238th Independence Day of the United States.
In the reception, Du had conversations with Mr. Hanscom Smith, Consul-General Designate of the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, Mr. Mark Tesone, Deputy Consul General of the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, Mr. Naveen Srivastava, Consul General of the Consulate General of India in Shanghai, Mr. Stefan Moebs, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai, Mr. Arto Haapea, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Finland in Shanghai, Mr. Maruyama Koichi, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of Japan in Shanghai, and Mr. Kenneth Jarrett, Chairman of American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
Du briefed the progress of cooperation projects between Changzhou and these countries in trade and commerce, science and technology, etc. He also invited these officials to visit Changzhou so as to further promote exchanges and cooperation in diverse areas.
