Seminar on Bilateral Investment & Trade Between Hong Kong and Changzhou was held On the afternoon of September 27. More than 100 guests from Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, Changzhou Municipal People’s Government and Hong Kong financial, commercial and industrial fields attended the seminar.
Ms. Joyce TAM Wai-yee, director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai, Mr. Zhang Songping, deputy director of Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, Mr. Zhu Rui, vice mayor of Changzhou Municipal Government, Mr. Zhou Changzhong, deputy director of Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office and director of Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Changzhou Municipal Government attended the seminar. Mr. Du Jibin, director of Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office presided the investment and trade seminar.
Hong Kong has been a major source of Changzhou's foreign investment. At present, Changzhou has 2,624 Hong Kong enterprises with the contractual registered foreign capital of USD 14.95 billion and paid-up capital of USD 6.94 billion. While actively attracting foreign investment, Changzhou government also vigorously implements the strategy of "enterprises going out". Hong Kong is the best choice for mainland enterprises to integrate with the global market.
