Between March 3rd and 18th, the 5th Changzhou Plum Blossom Festival will be opened in the Hongmei Park. This Festival is organized by the Municipal Publicity Department and the Municipal Gardening and Greening Management Bureau. With the theme of “Welcoming the Flower Expo and Enjoying Plum Blossom,” it includes five branch activities, namely “Appreciating Plum,” “Learning about Plum,” “Wishing upon Plum,” “Planting Plum” and “Celebrating Plum Festival,” so that the people will be able to enjoy the fruits of development of reform and opening up as well as the achievements of the landscaping sector, and actively participate in the upcoming 8th China Flower Expo.

（3）Photography Competition
During the period of the Festival, The Rules of Photography Competition will be released on notice board at the venue of “Appreciating Plum.” After the call for entries deadline, the experts and judges organized by the photography department of Changzhou Daily will start evaluation and selection. The awarding ceremony will be held at the closing ceremony, and the award-winning works will be published in the Changzhou Daily on the same day of the closing ceremony.

Venue: On both sides of the Hongmei Pavilion
A simulation of plum branches in the form of 3D relief will be placed on one side of the Hongmei Pavilion as the wishing tree. The park will prepare oily pen and “plum blossom petals” (in KT board material), with which the visitors can write down their wishes and messages for the future. These “petals” will be pasted on the “plum branches,” which will shape a blooming plum tree blessing a beautiful future.
