On May 5, Li Qianlong, chairman of the party headquarters of Kuomintang (KMT) of New Taipei City, led a delegation to Changzhou. Wang Quan, Party Secretary of Changzhou, met with Li and his delegation.
Wang introduced the history and economic development of Changzhou. He said that there have been frequent exchanges and cooperation between Changzhou and Taiwan in economy, trade, culture and so on. He hoped that the delegation will take this opportunity to learn more about Changzhou and introduce more enterprises to invest in Changzhou, in order to create a better future together.
Li said that he has visited Changzhou several times and has witnessed the city’s rapid development. He hoped that the two sides will advocate the notion that ‘both sides of the Taiwan Straits are one family’ to further strengthen the communication and cooperation, and achieve a win-win situation.
The delegation visited the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Tianning Pagoda and Dongpo Park during the stay in Changzhou.
