Recently, the Ministry of Civil Affairs conducted a field inspection on the training base for aged care workers in Changzhou De’an Hospital. As the training base successfully passed the examination, De’an Hospital has become the city's first base with the qualification of training aged care workers.
Any trainee who obtains a vocational qualification certificate through the training base and serves as aged care worker for more than two years in the city will be granted a one-time subsidy ranging from 500 yuan to 3,000 yuan in accordance with the level of certificate.
According to the prediction of relevant authority, by 2020, the total number of beds for aged care will reach over 50 per thousand elderly, of which the number of nursing-type beds will take more than 60%, and above 60% of such beds will be organized or operated via non-governmental resources.
