Recently, it was learnt from Changzhou Transport Control Department that by this February, Changzhou has newly launched 20 new energy powered buses in its transport network and thus has fulfilled the annual plan ahead of the schedule. Among these 20 LNG natural gas buses, 10 run between Changzhou and Huai’an, Yangzhou and Lishui, 8 serve for Liyang - Changzhou line and 2 go between Liyang and Suzhou. Comparing with diesel buses, LNG natural gas buses are not only cost-effective, but also environment-friendly, which have obvious advantages on the short-distance transport in a round trip of less than 600 km.
Up to now, a total of 707 new energy buses powered by natural gas or hybrid model of oil and gas have been put into service at Changzhou.
