Recently, the National University of Singapore (NUS) released a ranking of the Top Ten Livable Cities in China. Changzhou is included in the list.
The Asia Competitiveness Institute of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the NUS studied on the livability index of 100 cities in China. The ten most livable cities (in descending order) according to the research are: Macao, Weihai, Hong Kong, Yantai, Xiamen, Taipei, Weifang, Nantong, Changzhou and Nanjing.
In recent years, Changzhou has been improving the living environment with more attention to its urban functions and city image.
