On March 30, Changzhou Bori Flexible Power Transmission Equipment Industrial Base, with a total investment of RMB 800 million, was located in Qishuyan Railway Transportation Industrial Park.
According to the blueprint of “The 12th Five-Year Plan,” the smart grid is a key sector for development, while the use of flexible transmission technology is important to the construction of smart grid. During the next 3 years, Changzhou Bori Electric Power Automation Equipments Co., Ltd. will accelerate research and industrialization of UHP DC converter equipment, flexible AC transmission device, HVDC equipment, wind power converter equipment, photovoltaic power generation equipment, TCSC equipment and power supply system for rail transportation. Bori will also focus on the formation of products with independent intellectual property rights, so as to improve the length of localization. The Bori base will be put into operation by the end of 2015, expecting an annual sales income of RMB 1.5 billion and more than RMB 500 million in pre-tax profit, as well as adding 1,000 jobs.
