From June 25th to 26th, the Macao Special Seminar for Senior Civil Servants led by Wen Yee Wah, director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, paid a two-day visit to Changzhou. On the afternoon of June 25th, Party Secretary Yan Li met with members of the Seminar in the Administration Center.
Yan said that Changzhou has attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Macao. During the period of 13th Five-Year Plan, Changzhou will carry out a full range of cooperation with Macao based on the platform of Jiangsu-Macao Cooperation Park in the areas of Internet, advanced manufacturing, health care, tourism, exhibition, financial services, cultural and creative industries, etc.
During their stay in Changzhou, members of the Seminar visited the West Taihu Lake Science & Technology Industrial Park, the Yancheng Ruins scenic spot and the Liyang Tianmu Lake Resort.
Currently, Changzhou has approved 69 Macao companies to invest in Changzhou, involving chemical, solar, textile and other industries, with contracted foreign investment of USD $ 470 million in total. In future Changzhou will carry out close cooperation with Macao in terms of cultural tourism and traditional Chinese medicine.
