Recently, the Second General Assembly of Changzhou Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (CZOCEA) and the Third General Assembly of Changzhou Overseas Exchanges Association (CZOEA) were held in the Administration Center.
Zhang Yue, member of the Standing Committee of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC and director of the United Front Work Department of Changzhou, highly praised the achievements of CZOCEA and CZOEA, and expressed his expectation for their joint efforts on improving services for overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and enhancing internal and external exchanges.
As of the end of 2013, a total of 1,093 overseas Chinese- or HK-invested companies have got registered in Changzhou, accounting for 36.9% of the city’s overall foreign-invested enterprises. Since 2006, Changzhou has organized two rounds of "1000 Overseas Talent Plan". In 2011, the "Longcheng Talent Plan" was initiated in Changzhou. Up to now, a total of 1,851 people have been introduced as “l(fā)eading talents”, 264 of which are included in the national “1000 Talent Plan”.
The CZOEA and CZOCEA were founded respectively in 2003 and 2009.
Ji Weiyi and Zhang Zhehao were elected as the new presents of CZOEA and CZOCEA respectively.
