Recently, the list of the first batch of Jiangsu provincial model villages of E-commerce has been released. Huangjin Village, Zhulin Town, and Xibin Village, Zhixi Town of Jintan are ranked in list, receiving special funds of 40,000 yuan respectively.
Huangjin Village established its E-commerce base in 2008, through which the Alibaba outlets and micro-shops of Jintan Golden Land Organic Rice Cooperatives are now supplying products to E-commerce businesses such as Tmall, Taobao, etc. The base has also created jobs for 256 farmers, with an annual sales of 13.56 million yuan last year.
Xibin Village founded its E-commerce base in 2011, which now has a number of E-commerce sales platforms like "Tian Geng Shou Zuo," “Shui Guo You Huo,” “Nan Geng Nu Zhi,” etc. The base has created jobs for 342 farmers, with an annual turnover of over 3.66 million yuan last year.
