On March 23rd, Helmut Rakowitsch, consul general of Austria in Shanghai, made a visit to Changzhou, where he and his delegation were received by Huan Heng, deputy mayor of Changzhou.
During the meeting, Huan provided an overview of Changzhou's recent economic and social progress, and praised the cooperation between Changzhou and its partners in Austria, expressing a desire to further strengthen ties between the two sides in trade and commerce. Additionally, Huan affirmed Changzhou's commitment to supporting Austrian-invested companies in the area.
Rakowitsch responded positively to Huan's remarks, commending Changzhou for its ongoing support of Austrian-invested businesses in the area. He further stated that the Consulate General of Austria in Shanghai would continue to endorse Changzhou as an ideal investment destination, with hopes of further strengthening ties between the two sides across a broader range of fields.
As part of their itinerary, the delegation visited nine Austrian-invested companies during their stay in Changzhou, where they had the opportunity to learn about each company's experiences and development within the region.
