On January 7, Mayor Fei Gaoyun delivered a report on the work of the government at the Third Session of the Fifteenth Changzhou Municipal People's Congress.
Changzhou’s GDP in 2014 is expected to reach 475 billion yuan, an increase of around 10%.
In 2014, Changzhou introduced three projects of finished vehicles from DFM, BAW and ZOTYE, which fulfilled the city’s dream over the years. The project for utility aircraft manufacturing of AeroJones Aviation was launched in Changzhou, which realized another dream of the city.
The construction of Metro Line One was commenced. Dingtanghe Wetland Park, Fenghuang Park and the first phrase of Xinlong Green Space have been completed and put into use.
In 2015, Changzhou targets its GDP growth of about 8.5%, budgetary revenue growth of around 6.5%, fixed asset investment growth of about 12%, increase of total retail sales of consumer goods of around 12%, per capita disposable income growth of over 9%; rise in consumer prices of around 3%, unemployment rate within 4%, and 100% completion of the tasks of energy saving and emission reduction set by Jiangsu Province.
