On the morning of Dec 3, Fang Guoqiang, vice mayor, met with the delegation headed by Lu Jun, vice president of BGI Shenzhen.
The two sides said that they will always give top priority to the public interest and will deepen cooperation in preventing and curing innate diseases and ensuring people's livelihood.
BGI Shenzhen, established in 1999, is the world's largest gene research and development institution.
The Changzhou Symposium on National Health Big Data Application and Development will be held on Dec 8, during which Changzhou will sign a framework cooperation agreement with BGI Shenzhen.
