The 10-episode documentary Memory of Qingguo Lane filmed in Changzhou will be aired on China Central Television (CCTV) this year.
The Qingguo Lane, with a length of less than 1,000 meters, has cradled nearly 100 scholars and more than 100 celebrities over the past 500 years, which is regarded as a ‘living fossil of Changzhou’s cultural genes.’
The documentary is divided into 10 episodes and about 36 minutes per episode. It recreates the life of a number of scholars and celebrities grew up in the Qingguo Lane, including Tang Jingchuan, Zhao Yuanren, Sheng Xuanhuai, Li Boyuan, Dong Kang, Zhang Zhirang, Yang Shouyu, Qu Qiubai, Liu Guojun, and so on, through which the audience will be able to learn about the history and culture of Changzhou.
