On the morning of June 13, Changzhou held a ceremony to kick off the establishment of the National Metrology and Testing Center for Smart Industrial Robots, along with the unveiling of the Jiangsu Special Technical Committee for Intelligent Robot Metrology. Zhu Meina, deputy director of the Measurement Department at the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), sent her congratulations through a video message, while Xia Sijun, vice mayor of Changzhou, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

The National Metrology and Testing Center for Smart Industrial Robots, approved by the SAMR, is being set up in collaboration with the Changzhou Testing and Standardization Institute (CZTSI). Once completed, the center will have the capabilities to test robot systems, key components, and precision measurements. This will provide comprehensive metrology and testing services to companies involved in robot research and manufacturing across the entire industry chain.

In recent years, Changzhou has seen rapid growth in the industrial robot industry, which has laid a strong foundation for the development of its testing system. The market size of intelligent industrial robots and related supply chains in the city has exceeded 20 billion yuan, accounting for two-thirds of the entire province. Notably, the CZTSI has established China's first accredited industrial robot testing laboratory, recognized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and certified by the China Meteorological Administration (CMA). The institute has actively undertaken various projects at the national, provincial, and municipal levels in the field of robot testing and standardization, successfully addressing 36 critical technical challenges for the industry, including jitter measurement. Additionally, it has played a role in formulating and revising 12 international, national, and local standards.
