Recently, Tianning District officially signed a Friendship Districts Agreement with Conway, Indiana, U.S. This is the first overseas friendship district of Tianning.
Conway is an important industrial and agricultural manufacturing base of Indiana, having a number of automobile manufactures, such as Ford, in the city or the peripheral areas, known as the “Little Detroit” in the United States.
Tianning District started negotiation with Conway in 2011 on the establishment of friendship districts. Although the two sides have differences in geographic location, customs, natural resources, and so on, yet in many fields there is a strong complementarity, showing a large space of cooperation and exchange.
