The 2016 International Exposition of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Ancient Art Macao -China was held in Macao on April 22nd – 25th, 2016. The “Three Treasures of Changzhou” - Changzhou comb, green-retaining bamboo carving and random-stitch embroidery, were showcased in the exhibition.
The 1st International Exposition of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Ancient Art, co-sponsored by China Cultural Relics Protection Foundation and the Art Exchange Center of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, aims at bringing together, from all over the world, ancient cultural artifacts and crafts that are part of intangible cultural heritage.
The fair involved over a hundred exhibitors from China, Germany, France, Israel, the United States, Britain, India, Japan, South Korea, etc. More than 50 Chinese intangible cultural heritage items were displayed in the exhibition.
Among the 200 booths of intangible cultural heritage exhibition, the Changzhou booth took an area of 123 square meters, showcasing more than 100 pieces of outstanding works by the inheritors of Changzhou comb, green-retaining bamboo carving and random-stitch embroidery, including Xu Bingfang, Fan Yaoqing, Xing Liang, Sun Yanyun, Di Jing, and so on.
