Recently, the State Sports General Administration officially approved Liyang, Kunshan and Jiangyin to jointly build the National Sports Industry Base in Sunan (referring to south of the Yangtze River), which is the seventh national base approved for establishment by the State Sports General Administration of China.
This time, the Base is named after Sunan, breaking the traditional way of application as by a single county, thus it is the first industry base built together by several counties. Such creation and development mode will greatly enrich the connotation of industry base, and will help to promote the coordinated development of the regional sports industry and economy and society.
