On the morning of June 16, Changzhou held the Conference for Promotion of Intelligent CNC and Robotics Industry to accelerate the transformation from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing. Vice mayor Fang Guoqiang presided over the conference.
In the conference, the Action Program of Changzhou’s Robotics and Intelligent Hardware Industry in the 13th Five-Year Plan (draft for discussion) was issued to the participants.
Currently, local enterprises engaged in the intelligent CNC and robotics industry are taking a leading role in Changzhou with significant trend of cluster development in Wujin and Xinbei Districts. By the end of 2015, the industry chain has involved more than 58 enterprises above designated scale and 39 high-tech enterprises, with an annual output value of 22.7 billion yuan.
It is learned from the conference that in 2016 Changzhou plans to implement 11 key projects of intelligent CNC and robotics industry with a total investment of 5.7 billion yuan. Among them, the Shanghai Chuangzhi Automated Production Line System project, with a total investment of 300 million yuan, has settled in Wujin Hi-tech Industrial Zone (WIZ), and the Reynolds Transmission System project, with a total investment of 30 million pounds, has settled in Jintan Economic Development Zone. At the same time, Changzhou has established a number of intelligent CNC and robotics R & D platforms to support large-scale production.
The conference called for vigorous promotion of industrial pilot demonstration applications, in order to improve production processes and enhance the overall level of intelligent manufacturing.
