On the evening of March 4, Changzhou Municipal People’s Government held the Chinese New Year’s Reception for more than 60 consulate officials in Shanghai for 33 countries. Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang addressed the reception.
In 2014, Changzhou Airport realized the opening of first-class port. Changzhou for the first time received over 500 million tourists from home and abroad, up 12.8%. Tourism revenue reached 65.4 billion yuan, increased by 14.5%. Foreign trade has covered more than 200 countries and regions. The annual export and import volume amounted to 28.8 billion US dollars. There are over 3,600 foreign invested companies in the city, and 60 of the Fortune 500 companies have invested in Changzhou. Besides, Changzhou has established sister-city relationship with 38 cities of 19 countries and has conducted further cooperation with countries including South Korea, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, Israel, etc.
