On the morning of Sept. 28th, the Solihull Promotion Seminar was held in Changzhou.
At the seminar, Mr. Jiang Ziping, vice chairman of Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress, briefed the economic and social development of Changzhou. Mr. Ian Courts, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Managed Growth, Solihull Council House, shared Solihall’s economic and industrial information and development opportunities. Prof. Paul Noon, vice chancellor of Coventry University, delivered the keynote speech about their successful experience in UNISPAR cooperation.
Mr. Shen Lian, deputy mayor of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, hosted the event.
Also present at the seminar were: Madam Rachel Westwood, Economic Development Manager; Mr. Wai-kit Ho, consul of Bilateral Relations and Regional Cooperation, British Consulate General in Shanghai; Madam Lu Jian, Senior Officer, Regional Affairs, British Consulate General in Shanghai; and the representatives of Changzhou’s most dynamic UNISPAR institutions.
Changzhou and Solihall, UK were officially twinned in November 2016. Through constant communication, the two sides have extended multi-level cooperation in various fields to promote mutual development, deepen the friendship and achieve win-win cooperation.
