On December 9th, it was learned from the statistics department that from January to November, Changzhou Port has exported 15,764 TEUs of photovoltaic products in total, an increase of 13.15%. Among them, 7,472 TEUs were shipped to Asia, Australia, Africa and other emerging markets, up 132.7% year on year, accounting for 47.4%.
On the contrary, exports to Europe and the United States had a substantial decline over the same period last year, of which 7,740 TEUs were exported to the United States, down 19.5%; and 552 TEUs were exported to the EU, down 50.09%.
It is understood that the decreasing exports to Europe and the United States was due to the antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) operations carried out by Europe and the United States. Changzhou’s photovoltaic enterprises had to set up factories in Southeast Asia to avoid AD and CVD. However, thanks to the domestic market expansion, Changzhou’s photovoltaic companies are embarked on a healthy development path toward the emerging markets and domestic market.
