Covering an area of 18,000㎡( 2.5 times as big as a standard football pitch), Changzhou’s first town-level sports park, Jiaoxi Sports Park, was completed and opened to public on December the 5th .
With a total investment of 5 million RMB, the park boasts a variety of sports facilities like a big square, a mini football pitch, two tennis courts, basket playgrounds, etc. It has already become a great entertainment and exercising destination for locals.
As of now, Zhenglu Town has over 260 sports instructors, 178 exercising squares, and a total sports area of 414,680㎡( per capita sports area of 3.51㎡). Among all the sports facilities, the 5000㎡big Zhenglu Gymnasium was opened to public in December, 2014 and is now in good operation.
Recent years have seen a flourishing growth of local sports associations and activities. For instance, the annual Exercising Month campaign has already become an influential brand.
