On October 31st, Vice Mayor Fang Guoqiang met a UK business delegation led by Mr. Robert K Sleigh, leader of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council of the UK.
Located in West Midlands to the northwest of London, Solihull has a population of 200,000 and is 1.5 hours away from London by car. Regarded as one of the most livable cities in UK, the city has bio-medicine, aviation and automobiles as its key industries. Jaguar’s and Land Rover’s R & D centers are also based in the city. It is fair to say that Changzhou’s and Solihull’s economies are of a complimentary nature.
Through its Changzhou visit, the Solohull business delegation plans to sign the sister city relationship agreement with Changzhou and visits some key industrial parks and companies. The visit will further boost exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
