On January 7, it was learned from the Division of Vehicle Purchase Tax Collection of the Changzhou Office of State Administration of Taxation that 133,942 new vehicles were sold in Changzhou during 2014, contributing taxes of 1.935 billion yuan, an increase of over 10%. In average 366 new cars were sold per day, breaking the city’s new car sales record.
According to monthly sales ranking, the public tend to purchase new cars in January, December, May, September, October, March, April and July.
Starting from September 1, 2014, for those who purchase new energy vehicles in the duty-free cars catalog, one-stop service for tax exemption procedures is available in the tax service hall. Up to now, 1,269 new energy vehicles have went through such procedures in the city, and a total of 26.15 million yuan have been exempted from vehicle purchase tax.
