On December 5, Changzhou Airport welcomed its 1,000,000th passenger, Ms. Shi, flying to Chengdu by CA4590 at 10:45 a.m. This is the first time that the Airport received one million passengers within one year over the past 27 years.
It is learned that the annual passenger throughput of one million is usually regarded as an important figure that tells a medium-sized airport from a small airport in China's civil aviation industry. Currently, Changzhou Airport has already established the overnight base and introduced all-cargo aircraft. It is expected to achieve annual passenger throughput of 1.1 million, doubled in comparison with year 2009; and the mainstream and mail throughput of 1.5 million tons, almost doubled comparing with 2009.
