On the morning of Dec 10, Changzhou National High-Tech District (CND) held the Forum on Carbon Fiber & Composite Materials Industry, at which the Changzhou Carbon Fiber & Composite Materials Industry Innovation Center was officially established.
Zhou Bin, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and secretary of CPC Xinbei District Committee, attended the forum.
The Center will gather the top enterprises, research institutes and other high-quality resources in the industry according to the development concept of "administration, production, education, research, application, financing and trading". It will build one institute (the Institute of Carbon Fiber and Composites) and five centers (Innovation Service Center, Venture Capital and Industrial Investment Service Center, Cloud Service Center, Entrepreneurship Training Center and Public Testing Center) to achieve technological breakthroughs, establish industry system standards, incubate or transfer R&D achievements and build a national carbon fiber and composite materials industry innovation cluster.
It is reported that the center will invest 1 billion yuan in construction and operation, including R&D investment of 300 million yuan. By 2025, CND’s carbon fiber and composite materials innovation cluster is expected to achieve 100 billion yuan.
