From November 27 to 29, party secretary Fei Gaoyun and mayor Ding Chun led a delegation of government officials to Beijing and met with the central enterprises to seek more cooperation.
At the Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry (RIAMB), Fei and his delegation had a meeting with Wang Decheng, president of China Academy of Machinery Science & Technology, and Zhang Jintong, director of RIAMB. RIAMB is a large-scale science and technology enterprise directly under the Central Government, which is dedicated to the research, development and application of automation, information technology and intelligent technology in the manufacturing industry. Its investment project in Changzhou is progressing smoothly.
The project is divided into three phases, including an intelligent manufacturing equipment production base, a national-level intelligent manufacturing system integration experience and verification platform, and an industrialization base of intelligent manufacturing innovation achievements.
Fei said at the talks that manufacturing has always been the foundation of Changzhou's development. Taking innovation as its main driving force for economic growth, Changzhou will continue to focus on intelligent manufacturing and carry out in-depth cooperation with large institutes. He hoped that both sides will take specific projects as their starting point for all-round cooperation and innovation, and jointly make more contributions to the "Made in China 2025" initiative.
Wang said that Changzhou’s manufacturing industry has a good foundation. We hope that both sides will establish a strategic cooperation mechanism based on the already good cooperation so that more scientific and technological achievements of the Chinese Academy of Machinery Science & Technology will be able to land and grow in Changzhou, which will become a model for the joint development among central enterprises and local governments.
