If you walk in Sanjing Elementary School, you can see a number of black solar panels placed neatly on the roof of buildings. The solar photovoltaic power station covers a total area of 320 square meters, which is the largest solar power generation device among all the middle and elementary schools in Jiangsu province. By optimizing design, the device could supply 130,000 kilowatt-hours each year.
Now, the daily electricity consumption is 1,600 kilowatt-hours of the school. And the new power station could supply 400 kilowatt-hours electricity and save more than 70,000 yuan electricity expense for the school every year. Furthermore, the establishment of new power station not only could provide green energy, but also could develop environmental-protection education and publicize green ideas.
