On the afternoon of September 13, Sorin Grindeanu, congressman of the Romanian Social Democratic Party（PSD), headed a delegation to Changzhou for a two-day investigation visit. Dai Yuan, deputy party secretary of Changzhou, met with the delegation in the administrative center. Dai expressed the will to create more opportunities for cooperation and exchanges between both sides.
The delegation visited the National Hi-tech Development Zone, Science and Education Town, Dongfeng Agricultural Machinery Group, Women's & Children's Activity Center and the City Planning Exhibition Hall, and toured the Yancheng Ruins of Spring & Autumn Period (722-481 BC).
In 2012, the total imports and exports between Romania and Changzhou reached $ 47,546,100, an increase of 12.96%. The major importing products are wood products, machinery, chemicals, plastics and metals.
