On the afternoon of November 11th, Ms. Reziyan Abulizi, deputy mayor of Changzhou, met with the delegation headed by Mr. Valery Matsel, consul general of Belarussian Consulate General in Shanghai.
In recent years, Changzhou continued to strengthen economic and trade exchanges with Belarus. Last year, the city's import and export businesses with Belarus totaled $ 20,952,400, an increase of 5.7 percent over the previous year.
It is reported that the visit of Mr. Matsel this time is mainly to learn about Changzhou’s development of agricultural equipment industry. His delegation paid special visit to Changfa Group, hoping to bring cooperation with Belarusian enterprises and establish joint ventures, in order to further promote practical cooperation in the field of agricultural machinery.
Abulizi said Changzhou’s equipment manufacturing industry has made remarkable progress, of which the agricultural machinery and equipment is one of the city’s ten key industrial sectors; while Belarus is well developed in machinery manufacturing industry. She hoped Mr. Matsel will help promote bilateral cooperation and exchanges to achieve win-win situation.
