According to the officially released information from the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, between 00:00 and 24:00, February 15, Jiangsu had 13 newly confirmed cases of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19), of which one was in Najing, one was in Wuxi, one was in Xuzhou, three were in Changzhou, two were in Lianyungang, three were in Huaian, one was in Yangzhou and one was in Suqian. 30 additional patients have been cured and were discharged from the hospital.

All the three newly confirmed cases in Changzhou are residents of Jintan district. Patients 44 and 45 were family members of two previously confirmed cases in Jintan. Patient 46 was receiving treatment at Jintan District People’s Hospital and has now been transferred to one of the designated hospitals. All of them are currently receiving treatment in designated hospitals and are in stable physical condition. 50 people who were in close contact with these patients have been found and are now under medical observation.

As of the 15th of February, a total of 617 confirmed cases have been reported in Jiangsu, of which 46 cases were confirmed in Changzhou. To date, a total of 21 patients in Changzhou diagnosed with the COVID-19 have been cured and have been subsequently discharged from the hospital.

Experts urge people who have traveled to Changzhou from Hubei province or another outbreak area to register at the local community or village committees. You will need to complete a temperature check and report the relevant information. Stay at home for a 14-day medical observation period and pay attention to your physical condition. If symptoms such as fever, cough, chest distress, shortness of breath, fatigue or diarrhea have occurred or occur during the isolation period, call 120 (hotline for emergency care and first aid) or contact your community officers to receive treatment at one of the designated fever clinics.

In order to reduce the risk of cross-infection, please avoid public situations such as parties and gatherings, and do not go to any crowded places.
