Recently, it was learned from Changzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau that Mr. Jean-Christophe Emery, Swiss, general manger of Mettler Toledo (Changzhou) Precision Instrument Co., Ltd., and Mr. Nicolas Joseph Vautherin, French, executive vice general manger of Jiangsu Longcheng Forging Co., Ltd., were awarded the 2015 Jiangsu Friendship Award.
The Jiangsu Friendship Award was established by Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government in 1997, in order to commend the foreign experts who have made remarkable contributions to the economic and social development of the province, and to promote cooperation and exchanges in economy, science & technology, culture and education with foreign countries. It is the highest prize that Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government established for foreign experts, which is awarded every year in the National Day Reception held by the Provincial Government.
Jean-Christophe Emery has been serving as the general manger of Mettler Toledo (Changzhou) Precision Instrument Co., Ltd. Since 2008. Under his leadership, Mettler Toledo (Changzhou) has transformed from simply manufacturing sensors to a company capable of developing technologies independently. As of 2015, the company has obtained more than 300 patents. Its annual tax payment is over 30 million yuan.
Nicolas Joseph Vautherin was hired by Jiangsu Longcheng Forging Co., Ltd. 30 years ago. He introduced into the company the advanced quality control concepts and methods such as Zero Defects, Continuous Improvement, Defect Prevention, etc. The technology innovation program initiated by him has made profit of 30 million yuan for the company.
