This year, Changzhou newly registered 171 foreign-funded companies, 16 of which has a registered capital of above 50 million U.S. Dollars, up 128.57% over last year.
The rapid development of foreign companies is inseparably related to Changzhou’s efforts on enterprise restructuring and upgrading during recent years, thanks to which some high-energy-consumption, high-pollution and low-efficiency industries have been eliminated, while a number of emerging industries with high technology and new prospects have been introduced and cultivated, playing an important role in improving industrial economic benefits and constructing “Smart City.”
