China trials visa-free entry policy for 6 more countries
        Font:〖L M S

To further streamline cross-border travel, China has announced the implementation of a unilateral visa-free policy for citizens of six additional countries on a trial basis. This policy extension applies to travelers holding ordinary passports issued by Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Effective from March 14, 2024, until November 30, 2024, citizens of the aforementioned countries holding ordinary passports will be exempted from visa requirements when entering China. They will be permitted to stay for a maximum duration of 15 days for purposes such as business, tourism, family visits, and transit. However, individuals who do not meet the criteria for visa-free entry from these six countries will still need to obtain visas in advance prior to their arrival in China.
