Changzhou No. 2 People’s Hospital, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, has fully opened all nine wards at its Yanling branch as of July 8. The newly operational wards offer 400 beds across a range of specialties, including Gastrointestinal Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Gastroenterology, Colorectal Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Interventional Vascular Medicine, Cardiology, Trauma, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Breast Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, Oncology, Urology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Pediatrics, and Day Care.
Liu Fang, the hospital’s deputy director, emphasized the branch's commitment to excellence and precision. The Yanling branch aims to provide top-tier expert consultations and high-quality medical services. It is also equipped with stroke, chest pain, and trauma centers, adhering to the same rigorous standards as the Yanghu branch, ensuring comprehensive emergency care. Both branches operate under a unified management system and are connected by a dedicated shuttle service, facilitating smooth patient transfers and improving accessibility to medical services.
Additionally, the hospital announced that Building 2 at the Yanling branch will be operational next year, significantly expanding the emergency department to better serve the community.
