Recently, the 17th Jiangsu International Agricultural Fair, sponsored by the provincial government, was held in Yancheng between September 11th and 13th. More than 500 visitors from 54 countries and regions as well as over 1,000 exhibitors both at home and abroad attended the Fair.
Zhang Yaogang, vice mayor of Changzhou, headed a delegation there and organized a booth in the Fair. The Changzhou booth promoted the city’s six major agricultural industries of high-quality rice, nursery stock, special aquatic products, livestock and poultry specialties, tea and fruit, and leisure sightseeing, as well as the eight modern agricultural industrial parks/processing zones. More than 200 new and special agricultural products of Changzhou were displayed. In the exhibition area, 17 agricultural enterprises almost sold out all their stocking within three days, with a total sales of 252,000 yuan.
