On the afternoon of August 23, the 2020 Jiangsu Youth Track & Field Championships came to a successful conclusion at the stadium of Changzhou Olympic Sports Center. The Changzhou Athletics Team gave full play to the Changzhou spirit of “always striving for the best,” bagging 20 gold medals, ranked first in the province.
The Championships, hosted by Jiangsu Sports Administration and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, were organized by Changzhou Municipal Sports Bureau. The event attracted more than 500 athletes from 13 teams across the province. Changzhou sent 64 athletes to compete in 18 games. In the four-day competition, the young athletes of Changzhou fought hard and made brilliant achievements.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Changzhou Athletics Team had not been training for nearly four months until the summer training camp in July.
“If the young people are strong, the country will be strong.” The Championships this year not only built a professional platform for young athletes to accumulate competition experience and enhance their comprehensive capabilities, but also promoted the discovery and cultivation of talented athletes for track and field events.
