Recently it was learned that in the second half of 2014 about 300 bus shelters will be built in Zhonglou, Tianning and Qishuyan Districts.
Changzhou Transit Group has carried out investigation and analysis on each bus stop in urban areas since 2013, which found that more than 300 stops have not been sheltered yet. Some citizens have made complaints about the inconvenience in rainy days and hot summer without bus shelters, which is especially hard for the elderly who can not even find a place to sit down.
Currently, the project proposal has been submitted for approval. ‘After we receive the approval of the feasibility study report, which means the project is officially approved, we will go through the bidding and construction site excavation procedures, and the project is expected to be started in June and completed in the end of this year,’ said Zhang Changchun, manager of the Pengcheng Trading Company of Changzhou Transit Group.
